A register that doesn't need the internet
Most POS systems call an offline mode "queuing a few sales until the connection returns." SP360 Lite is the other thing: a complete register that runs entirely on the device — pricing, tax, discounts, shifts, receipts, returns — and syncs into your Sales Point 360 tenant when it gets a signal. It does not degrade when the line drops, because it was never using the line.
If you sell at a market stall, a festival, a food truck, a rural shop, or anywhere the connection is a rumour rather than a utility, you already know the failure: the card reader spins, the queue backs up, and someone starts writing prices on a notepad. The fix isn't a better connection. It's a register that never assumed one.
The whole catalogue is on the device
Products, variants, modifiers, prices, tax rules, customers and images live in a real database on the till itself — not a cache that expires. Search and scanning work at local-disk speed whether or not you have bars.
Prices are computed the same way
Lite carries its own pricing engine, and every release is tested against the server's engine across thousands of generated carts. If the two ever disagreed by a cent, the build would fail. An offline sale is priced exactly as an online one.
Sync is a background detail
When a connection appears, the device uploads what it rang and pulls down what changed. Every action carries an identity, so a flaky link that retries can't double-post a sale. Nothing waits on a staff member remembering to press a button.
Pair it once, then forget about it
Lite is the register. Your Sales Point 360 account stays the source of truth for everything else — catalogue, reporting, staff, back office.
Pair the device
Install Lite and pair it to your tenant with a code from the back office. The device is registered against a seat and gets its own identity — you can see it, rename it, and revoke it at any time.
It pulls your data down
Catalogue, tax rates, customer pricing, staff PINs and settings come down once, then arrive as deltas — only what actually changed since the last sync, not the whole catalogue every time.
You trade
Open a shift, ring sales, take cash and card, print receipts, process returns, park and recall tickets, close out with a reconciliation. Online or offline is not a mode you switch — it simply doesn't matter.
It reconciles itself
Sales, shifts, cash movements, tips and returns land in your portal as ordinary records. Your reports, your GL and your Z-report don't know or care which till was offline at the time.

What Lite deliberately doesn't do
Lite is small on purpose. These live in the hosted portal, and Lite pairs to it — so you have them, just not on the till.
Not on the device
Online orders and the storefront · kitchen display and routing · appointments and booking · table service and floor plans · purchase orders, transfers and cycle counts · invoicing, quotes and proposals · layaway and customer tabs · AI modules · marketing campaigns · payroll, scheduling and time clock · the back office itself.
Honest about the trade-offs
A device that is genuinely offline cannot check a coupon's global usage limit or see stock another till just sold. Lite applies caps to loyalty redemption, validates coupons against the cached definition, and lets stock go negative rather than pretending — then shows you, instead of hiding it. We would rather tell you this up front than have you discover it at a market stall.
Licensed per device
Your first Lite device is included from the Starter plan up. Additional devices are $12 per device per month, or $120 a year. Lite devices are counted separately from your plan’s register limit, so adding one never costs you a web till. You manage the devices yourself.
See every paired till
The back office lists each device, what it's called, when it last checked in, and how many of your seats are in use.
Revoke a lost device
A revoked till stops syncing on its next heartbeat and frees its seat. If a tablet goes missing at an event, you are one click from cutting it off.
Updates arrive on their own
Desktop tills check for signed updates and install them. Every release is cryptographically signed — a till will refuse an update it cannot verify.
Runs where you actually trade
Windows
Counter tills with USB printers and drawers.
macOS
Apple Silicon and Intel.
iOS
iPad and iPhone, with Bluetooth printing.
Android
Tablets, handhelds and rugged terminals.
